Author's Note - Stephen King

The horror genre would not be the same if Stephen King never wrote book. With 50 novels written and over 200 short stories published, this single author has given horror fans, movie producers, and other writers and seemingly endless supply of material to work from and be inspired and thrilled by. I respect him for his wide imagination and the variety of his stories. I personally prefer his earlier work but I’m delighted whenever a newer piece turns out to be a gem. One trait that often gives away a Stephen King story or movie adaption is the way that the secondary characters speak, the everyday person that he loves to add to every piece; so many of them sound the same! At times relatable and likable but most often annoying when you hear the same speaking patterns time and time again, this trait has been brought to my attention as I’ve been reviewing his movies over the past few months. With that being said, the main characters are often more developed and come across as original creations…at least as much so coming from someone who has written so much!
